Esker Raise Funds Through Employee Wellness Program for Institute of Technical Education (ITE), Singapore Students

As one of our three pillars of our Corporate Social Responsibility and our aspiration to help younger generations prepare for the job of the future & optimise career prospects. Esker Asia is partnering with Institute of Technical Education (ITE), Singapore to raise funds.

As part of the wellness and CSR programme, the committee team launched a year-round of activities – “exercise while you raise funds” to encourage physical movement and a healthy lifestyle for employees and at the same time to raise funds for the needy. This will be based on each employee’s contribution by exercising or completing small challenges. Points will be earned and converted into dollars and donated to ITE under their Monthly Financial Assistance Scheme.

About ITE & Monthly Financial Assistance Scheme

TVET (Technical and Vocational Education and Training) is an important pillar of Singapore’s Education & Training System. ITE is a major provider of post-secondary education and training to a quarter of the school cohort. ITE offers more than 95 courses across different industry sectors (engineering, ICT, hospitality, business, design and media, healthcare) to equip students for work and future education. The ITE Monthly Financial Assistance Scheme (ITE-MFAS) provides a monthly allowance to needy full-time Singaporean students who require regular financial assistance to help them defray daily expenses, such as food, transportation, etc. Each award is valued at $150 per month.

“The committee team organises small challenges such as skipping challenges to help us reach our goals faster. I like that it is an activity that contributes and helps those in need and motivates me to contribute even more. ” Olivier Palermo, Top contributor of exercise while you raise funds.

“The Esker Wellness Program has been a motivating experience. Understanding the purpose of this program was a driving factor for me to exercise, even more, knowing that it is for a good cause, providing financial assistance to the ITE students. Before this program, my main motivation source was physical and mental health. On the side, mountain biking is my go-to sport. Being physically and mentally fit is crucial to one’s performance.” Maisarah Haizam, Marketing Executive – 2nd contributor of exercise while you raise funds
